Myanmar Knowledge Corridor

Through the Myanmar Knowledge Corridor, Nyan Corridor aims to build inclusive and critical knowledge on Myanmar by situating local realities within global issues and contexts. The Myanmar Knowledge Corridor serves as a platform for sharing logical, research-based knowledge on Myanmar, as well as key concepts and philosophical lenses relevant to understanding Myanmar-related issues.

Although the initiative focuses primarily on challenges faced within Myanmar, its scope of learning and exchange is not limited exclusively to Myanmar-specific topics. The central objective of the Myanmar Knowledge Corridor, being based on the approach of scholar activism, is to deconstruct socially constructed knowledge about Myanmar that has been dominated by powerful groups, by critically introducing knowledge produced from diverse sources and perspectives. In addition, Myanmar Knowledge Corridor is to be dedicated in making scholastic production of knowledge to be more accessible to the people. Nyan Corridor maintains that such processes of knowledge deconstruction, carried out through the development of inclusive research and knowledge-sharing platforms, can make a meaningful contribution to the pursuit of a just society in Myanmar.

The Myanmar Knowledge Corridor organizes the following activities:

  • Sharing, learning, and discussion of research works related to Myanmar
  • Sharing and interactive discussions of literature on Myanmar’s history, political economy, and politics
