Social Research Methodology Trainings

Nyan Corridor provides pro bono Social Research Methodology Trainings as its institutional actions of building a just circuit of knowledge and power. Social Research Methodology training designed by Nyan Corridor is intended not only to provide understanding on research methodology and research methods, data collection and analysis methods. Nyan Corridor applies Social Research Methodology a way of understanding on the system, the power structures, the social process, culture by which the knowledge is produced and the results of the socially constructed knowledge on the society. This understanding and mindfulness of the social construction of knowledge is very helpful to do research on social issues and conflicts with more critical point of view. The discussions and reflections of self-experiences during the sessions of research philosophies (Ontology and Epistemology) are designed to be mindful about the role of researchers in production and reproduction of knowledge. Nyan Corridor conducts Social Research Methodology Training as a systematic approach to equip the people with critical lens in studying the issues of social world and thus could be consequential in finding solutions through system change.  

Nyan Corridor have developed different courses of Social Research Methodology trainings targeting at progressive academic institutions mainly teaching social sciences, schools established by ethnic armed organizations and their governments and Myanmar civil society organizations. The training targeted at regular learners are 72 hours, twelve trainings. The three months training with coaching support are designed for the university students and civil society members who have to apply the course in their study program or projects.
